Very cool things are happening in the Texas foodie world. A week ago today, an organization was founded on the Texas A&M campus called Foodways Texas, which will document and celebrate Texas cuisine and culinary history.
Check out Greg Morago’s piece about it in today’s Houston Chronicle here, and Robb Walsh’s blog entry about it here.
I can’t wait to see where this leads. I’ll keep you posted when I see updates.
Yeehaw for Texas eats!

I would like to exchange links with your site whitefluffyicing.com
Is this possible?

Yes, it’s certainly possible. Feel free to link to http://www.whitefluffyicing.com as you please, and if you send me your site, I’ll have a look and see if it makes sense to link here… :D

WHOOP! Thanks and Gig ‘em!
I have to be honest, this is the first time I’ve been back on WFI since early July! Work has been incredibly busy. But I’m loving the blog still! I might have to take a crack at another recipe for the ultimate christening of my new house, but I think I’ll pass on the caveman porterhouse! ;)

Ryan! So good to see you here, no matter how frequent or rare an event. (I suspect you meant January instead of July?)
And what’s this about a new house? Clearly we need to catch up.
Not that you asked, but I highly recommend the tomato and crab towers recipe on the 2nd beach house installment… no cooking, just assembly, and a fantastic summer dish….
